Dimensions Petites #2
Vorige week ben ik met dit werkje van Dimensions gestart. Aangezien het gewoon op de hoek van de bank ligt pak ik het er makkelijk even bij. Door iedere keer toch een paar steekje te zetten zie je al lekker vooruitgang! Ik had wel eens gehoord dat Dimensions patronen erg lastig waren aangezien er vaak verschillende soorten steken in zitten en dat je erg moet opletten omdat er ook regelmatig verschil zit in het aantal draden waarmee geborduurd moet worden. Nu vind ik het patroon opzich wel meevallen. Het bestaat alleen uit hele en halve kruisjes, maar het is inderdaad opletten of je met 1, 2, 3 of 4 draden moet borduren. Bovendien komt het ook voor dat je bijvoorbeeld 2 draden van kleur A nodig hebt gecombineerd met 1 draad van kleur B. Even opletten dus, maar het resultaat is het meer dan waard!
Last week I started this pattern by Dimensions. Because it is such a small project I can keep it in arm's reach. If I have a few minutes to spare I just put in a few stitches. Resulting in quite a bit of progress already!
I had heard that Dimensions patterns were very difficult since there are often different types of stitches in them and that you had to pay extra attention because there is also a difference in the number of threads needed. In my opinion this pattern isn't too bad. It only consists of whole and half crosses, but it is indeed important to pay attention if you need to stitch with 1, 2, 3 or 4 threads. Moreover, it sometimes happens that you need 2 threads of color A combined with 1 thread of color B. It really brings something extra to the pattern!
