SALE!

Een tijdje geleden zag ik op de site van Heaven and Earth Designs een ontzettend leuk patroon voorbij komen. Ik wilde alleen niet het hele patroon maken, maar hier een deel van. Aangezien ik het zonde vond om het patroon voor de volle prijs te kopen als ik toch maar een deel zou borduren wachtte ik rustig op een Sale. Een paar keer per jaar hebben ze namelijk alle patronen voor de helft van de prijs. Maar ja, toen was het zover. En ze hebben zulke leuke patronen.... Uiteindelijk heb ik dus niet alleen het patroon wat ik wilde, maar ook nog een ander patroon gekocht.

Het patroon wat ik in eerste instantie wilde kopen is een verrassing voor iemand en kan ik dus niet laten zien, maar het andere patroon wat ik gekocht heb wel. Het is een quick stitch van Scott Gustafson. Van sommige grote patronen brengen ze soms ook een klein deel uit (wat ze dan weer iets vergroten volgens mij).
Dit is de QS Frog Prince 3. Soms blijkt tijdens het borduren dat er veel detail wegvalt. Bij deze valt dat gelukkig reuze mee!

Ik kan bijna niet wachten om te beginnen! Maar eerst minimaal mijn twee kleine projecten af...


A while ago I saw a very nice pattern on the site of Heaven and Earth Designs. I just didn't want to stitch the entire piece, but part of it. Since I thought it would be a shame to buy the whole pattern for the full price if I were to stitch only a small part, I quietly waited for a Sale. A few times a year they have all the patterns for half the price. Finally I saw they had a sale. But they have such nice patterns .... So in the end I didn't just buy the pattern I wanted, but also got another one.

The pattern I initially wanted to buy is a surprise for someone so I cannot show it on my blog, but the other pattern I bought I can show. It is a quick stitch from Scott Gustafson. Of some of the larger patterns they sometimes also release a small part. A so-called Quick Stitch.

This is the QS Frog Prince 3. Sometimes you notice that a lot of detail is lost after stitching. Fortunately, this isn't an issue with this pattern!

I can hardly wait to get started! But first I have to finish my two smaller projects ...

Twijfel/ Doubt

Iets meer dan een jaar geleden ben ik begonnen met dit weblog. Een leuke manier voor mij om mijn voortgang op creatief gebied, voornamelijk het borduren, bij te houden en te delen met anderen. Op dit moment sta ik echter in dubio. Wel of niet doorgaan met mijn blog. Inmiddels heb ik ook al een paar andere borduursters gezien die hierover twijfelen.
Een blog bijhouden kost tijd. Foto's maken, uploaden op de computer, stukje schrijven ect. In het begin werd mijn blog redelijk goed bekeken door anderen met dezelfde interesse, maar inmiddels loopt het aantal lezers terug. Er zijn ook zoveel snellere alternatieven.
Dus ja, wat zal ik doen? Toch doorgaan of stoppen. Wat vinden jullie?

A little over a year ago I started this blog. A nice way for me to keep track of my creative progress, especially stitching, and to share that progress with others. At the moment, however, I am in doubt. Continue or not with my blog. In the meantime I have also seen a few other stitchers who have doubts about this.

Keeping a blog takes time. Take photos, upload on computer, write blogpost ect. In the beginning my blog was read fairly well by others with the same interest, but now the number of readers is declining. There are also so many faster alternatives to keeping a blog.

So what should I do? Continue this blog or stop. What do you think?
